Turning a house into a home you love one DIY project at a time

Home Sweet Home!

Home Sweet Home!

Moving day has finally come and we are settling in to our new home! We could not be happier and are loving getting everything unpacked and adding our own personal touches.  The house is a four bedroom, two and a half bath, two story house with an open floor plan and a fenced in backyard (which the dogs love already!), in Woodstock, GA. Our house is a Pulte home built in 2008, located in the Woodlands neighborhood. We love the neighborhood and the awesome amenities!

Here is a tour of our home so far!

As everything is getting unpacked and set up, I am already making my project to do list. Right now the  list includes: painting the coffee table, end table, and entry table, painting the kitchen table, painting and staining the dining room table and chairs.  I want to make a DIY pallet wood sign for over the mantel and make a mason jar chandelier light fixture for the dining room to start! Eventually we will paint the secondary bedrooms, but that is on the bottom of the list. We want to get the downstairs living area complete first.

I need to find dining chairs to add extra seats to the dining room table, rugs for the living room and for the dining room, and we need to get some outdoor patio seating. That way we can enjoy the backyard with grilling and our fire pit!

Stay tuned for more as I work through my to do list.

❤️Margaret
